New Orders Postpone Graduation

New Orders Postpone Graduation
Posted on 07/14/2020
CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. – In response to new restrictions on crowd size issued by Governor Jim Justice, Jefferson County Schools must regretfully postpone the planned graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2020, which were originally set for Aug. 1.  After investing a significant amount of staff time and effort to create a ceremony compliant with previous guidance, the Jefferson County Board of Education, along with Jefferson County Schools staff and administrators, share the immense disappointment felt by this resilient group of young people and their loved ones. Everyone remains committed to giving them the traditional, in-person graduation ceremony they deserve as soon as restrictions and guidance allow. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Updated information will be provided as it is received. We remain immeasurably proud of these graduates and their achievements.
