Jennifer MossCHARLES TOWN, W.Va. – The incoming Principal at Wildwood Middle School is excited to come home.
The Jefferson County Board of Education named Jennifer Moss Wildwood’s new Principal during their regular meeting last night after receiving the unanimous recommendation of the interview committee.
Moss, who began her career in Berkeley County as a music teacher at Martinsburg South Middle School, said it will be exciting to come full circle.
Moss spent more than three years as an Assistant Principal at Wildwood before moving into her current role as Assistant Principal at Harpers Ferry Middle School and said she couldn’t be more ready to be a mustang again.
“I’m really excited to be going back,” Moss said. “I can’t wait to reconnect with familiar people and meet all the new people who are part of the Wildwood Community.”
Moss is certainly familiar with the school and the community, having worked under retiring Principal Pat Brockway.
Moss said Brockway has done a fantastic job and really established a good leadership team.
Brockway will spend time with Moss in the last months of the 2018-2019 school year to ensure a smooth transition, but Moss said having great leaders already in place is the real key.
“The current leadership has paved the way for success at Wildwood and I am really fortunate to be working with Joel (Silver) and Jodi (Brock) to build on that,” she said.
Moss received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Shepherd University and spent 6 ½ years in the classroom.
She got her Master’s Degree in Educational leadership from Grand Canyon University in Arizona and has worked as an Assistant Principal in Jefferson County for 7 ½ years.
