This project features a collaboration between the West Virginia Department of Education, Marshall University’s June Harless Center, and The Dollywood Foundation to provide a small library of high-quality children’s books to all exiting kindergarten and first grade children, as well as first and second grade classroom educators. Children will receive a shipment of two books to their homes in mid-June, with three additional books arriving in mid-July. Educators will receive the same five books at their schools prior to school starting for next year. In total, this collaborative project will provide more than 198,000 books to West Virginia children and educators this summer
