Any Homeschooled Student registered in Jefferson County may participate in the West Virginia Measures of Academic Progress. Students in grades 3-8 and 11 may test during the spring administration.

Grades 3-8 will be assessed in English Language Arts and Mathematics; only students in grades 5 and 8 will be assessed in Science.

Students in grade 11 will be assessed using the SAT School Day Test. Students will be administered a battery of tests in Reading, Writing and Language, Essay, Mathematics, and Science. Students will be able to send scores to up to four colleges or universities for free.

**Test Dates for grades 3-8 will be announced at a later date.

**Grade 11 SAT School Day test will be administered on April 10, 2018....Location will be determined after registration. All students will have one opportunity to take the SAT at no cost with the public school students on this date.

There will be no late registrations for these tests, as students will be entered into the West Virginia Department of Education Assessment portal to participate in testing.

JCS Office 365 Student Accounts

In order to help students prepare for academic success, the West Virginia Department of Education is providing Office 365 student email accounts. These accounts include Microsoft Office for every student free of charge. With Office 365, students will now have access to the latest version of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and many other Microsoft Office products.

Students will be provided access to an online version of Office 2013 as well the ability to install a full version of Office 2013 on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs. In addition, students will receive access to Microsoft's cloud storage – OneDrive. This Office 365 subscription lasts for as long as students are enrolled in Jefferson County Schools.

JCS Anonymous Reporting Program

The Jefferson County Schools Anonymous Reporting program is intended to facilitate the reporting of sensitive information to Jefferson County School District officials, including information regarding student safety, violence, drug use, or students who may be in need of assistance. Information submitted in the Anonymous Reporting form will be forwarded electronically to a predetermined list of school officials, and to local enforcement agencies if applicable.
