The following policies are posted for public review:
    September 13, 2017 VERSION
    of the Jefferson County Schools Policy Manual
    This policy chapter will remain on review until
    12:00 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017

    Chapter 7 of the Jefferson County Schools Policy Manual was recently placed on review for an additional two weeks.
    The updates consist of three primary changes:
    • 5.1 – (F) Lesson plans shall contain evidence of support of differentiation strategies and active student engagement was deleted.

    • 6.3 – (I) Deleted Recommended Elective Course Substitution do not apply to the twenty- four required academic units specified in Policy 2510 as the minimum state requirements for graduation. (The recently approved 6.4 Dual Credit Policy enables students to earn high school credit for required academic courses).

    • 6.4 – Added in order to participate in dual credit course, students must be accepted by the higher level learning institution.
