School Service Personnel Honored

School Service Personnel Honored
Posted on 09/20/2019
Dear Jefferson County residents:
Every day thousands of you send your children through our doors in the hopes that they will discover their unique talents and grow into their purpose in life.   We all come into this world with a deep and abiding need for connection with others and to feel part of something greater than ourselves.  That is true of our children and it is true of the adults who serve them.
Today, it is our purpose to honor those adults.   We have an unending array of talents among our service personnel.   Every day they make connections with children and nurture them in being the very best version of themselves.   From the moment they step onto a bus to the time they eat lunch to their footsteps out the door of a safe and clean facility, they are looked after, listened to, and loved.

Today is officially designated as “School Service Personnel Day,” in accordance with the governor’s office. Today everyone here at Jefferson County Schools will be taking a moment to appreciate the work of these individuals and we invite you to join us.   Your recognition for the care they give often means more than you know.   Your continued gratitude and support are important. It makes a difference for our service staff and for the children they serve. I hope that today and every day, you will take a moment from the hectic pace of parenting to look around and see the hard work and dedication of the hundreds of people it takes to make the school system work.   We deeply appreciate your trust and  honor the people who earn that trust every day.
