KEYSER, W.Va. -- Four members of the Jefferson High School FFA Chapter recently competed in the West Virginia FFA’s Horse Evaluation Career Development Event where they took top honors.
Jefferson High School's Jenna Everhart, Sevanna Conrad, Eliza Truslow, and Dylan Sowers traveled to Potomac State College for the event to compete against other FFA teams from the state.
They used their knowledge of the equine industry to evaluate and rank horses based on breed, characteristics, confirmation, and performance.
The group will compete at West Virginia University June 4th and 5th and again at the National Competition and Expo in the Fall.
