Notice to Vendors

The Jefferson County Board of Education, Charles Town, WV will receive sealed bids by written proposal for Playground Mulch for all mulched playground areas within Jefferson County Schools.  The sealed bids will be accepted until 12:00pm, July 17th, 2020, at the Central Office for Jefferson County Schools, 110 Mordington Avenue, Charles Town, WV 25414, at which time all the bids will be opened at 1:00pm.                                                                                                                                       

All interested contractors must obtain bid specifications from Brandan L. Caton, Coordinator of Maintenance and Facilities at 201 North West Street, Charles Town, WV 25414 (304-725-5711).  All sealed bids may be mailed or placed in the locked mailbox at 110 Mordington Avenue, Charles Town, WV.  Vendor packets and bid specifications can also be obtained using the following URL:

The Jefferson County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informality in the bidding.  

Contractors shall comply with all applicable national and state codes and regulations listed in the General and Supplemental Conditions.

Pursuant to Chapter 21-Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be  licensed  to  perform  work  in the  State,  the Contractor’s WV License number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction contracts and agreements.
