All community activities that utilize Jefferson County Schools buildings will need to be canceled or relocated on Thursday, February 22 and Friday, February 23. The closing of schools in Jefferson County on Thursday and Friday are being treated as snow closures.
Students who are participating in regional, sectional, or state tournaments and competitions will have those competitions and practices. This includes: basketball, wrestling, cheerleading (middle school), and Jazz band (middle school).
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Over Martin Luther King weekend, Zak Atkinson (4th grade) and his teammates traveled to Charlotte, NC to compete in an ice hockey tournament. Zak is a member of the Frederick Freeze ice hockey team. His team won first place and brought home a banner that all of the kids signed and is now hanging at Skate Frederick in Maryland. Zak and his teammates played against teams from North Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. We are so proud of Zak and his team's hard work and success! Congratulations Zak!!
