    Spring has sprung and graduation preparations for the Class of 2017 are underway!   • Renaissance Cards


    Class meetings were held on March 23rd to introduce the Renaissance Cards, a way for JHS faculty and staff to recognize, reward, and reinforce our outstanding students. Congratulations to the more than 600 students who earned a Renaissance Card for their performance during 3rd Quarter!


    UPDATE!! After receiving constructive feed back from our students, the School Expectations Work Group decided to expand the criteria for the Maroon Card.   • Essay Contest 


    Announcing the STEVE LIETZ LEGACY ESSAY CONTEST, which offers a chance for two students at each grade level to earn a $250 cash award. Follow the link on the school webpage for contest rules. Click this link for Essay Contest Official Rules. The submission deadline is midnight April 30th.

  • Explore High School Dual Enrollment


    Jefferson County Schools is pleased to offer students the option to earn dual credit through Shepherd University and Blue Ridge Community and Technical College. Students should see their School Counselor for details.

  • Tutoring Available!


    We are pleased to announce the return of peer tutoring offered by the National Honor Society! Students are encouraged to use the electronic Google form for their tutoring requests.  Paper copies of the forms are available upon request in A17, Ms. Bowers’ room, or A13, Ms. Biller’s room. After school tutoring with teachers is also available. Students should contact their school counselor or Mr. Coleman to request after school tutoring.

    Harpers Ferry Medical is offering FREE physicals for students to play sports. The date is June 2, 2017 at Harpers Ferry Middle School. Time is to be determined.
