Important:  February 13:  There will be a Track & Field parent meeting in the Washington High School cafeteria on February 13, at 7:00 pm.  One or more parent/guardian per athlete must attend this meeting to discuss rules/expectations and to meet the coaches.  Please enter through the event entrance.  If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact Coach Rhoades.

 
Washington High School Track - 2013

Conditioning Program

The Washington High School track conditioning program will begin on January 15TH.  The conditioning program is designed to help athletes excel in track and field events.  Through use of different training methods, such as core stabilization, aerobic endurance, explosive power, and anaerobic tolerance training, we will condition the athletes to be ready for the start of the track season.

            Some things to consider:

·         Conditioning will enhance your performance during the season.

·         All athletes cross train for speed, agility, endurance, and power.

·         Strength training and core training are essential for top performing athletes.

Conditioning will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 pm to 4:45 pm.

·         Must have a physical on file with the school for 2012 – 2013 year.

·         Must have a Insurance Release Form

·         Must have an 2.0 GPA

·         You need to have a ride-NO RIDE=NO CONDITIONING!!!!

·         Wear proper clothing for the weather, we may be outside.

·         Meet in the hall outside Coach Rhoades office at 3pm after changing.
