Rebecca Cavanaugh began her career as the counselor at South Jefferson in 2002.  Her college degrees include an A.A. in Criminal Justice, A B.S. in Political Science, and a MS. Ed.in School Counseling.  As a school counselor, Mrs. Cavanaugh teaches classroom lessons on topics like conflict resolution, respect, and responsibility. When not in the classroom, Mrs. Cavanaugh is available to meet with students in a one-on-one or small group setting.  Mrs. Cavanaugh feels that providing support for children, and being a part of their overall education as they grow from kindergarten to grade five, is the most rewarding aspect of her profession.
